Software engineering

Design, development and maintenance of software systems: web platforms, APIs, backend services and internal tools, built and handed over with documentation and tests.

Cloud & IT services

Cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, monitoring and general IT consulting across AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, including migrations and cost review.

AI engineering

Applied AI systems, model integrations, retrieval and automation workflows, evaluated and deployed into existing products and business processes.

Product & strategy

Product building, workflow design and technical strategy: scoping, architecture review, technology selection and delivery planning.

Pricing

All work is quoted in advance and in writing. Every engagement starts with a free scoping call, after which you receive a written proposal setting out the deliverables, the timeline and the total price before any work begins. There are no automatic renewals and no charges you have not agreed to in writing.

Scoping call: Free. 45 minutes, no obligation.
Fixed-scope project: From €10,000 per project. Priced against an agreed statement of work. Typically 50% on acceptance of the proposal, 50% on delivery.
Time and materials: €400 per day (8 hours) for days booked in advance, or €80 per hour for ad-hoc work. Billed monthly in arrears against a timesheet.
Ongoing support: From €3,000 per month for a defined number of hours. Monthly term, cancellable with 30 days' notice.

Prices are in euro (EUR) and exclude VAT. Portuguese VAT at 23% is added where applicable. Supplies to VAT-registered businesses in other EU member states are reverse-charged under Article 196 of Directive 2006/112/EC where a valid VAT identification number is provided.

Billing & payment

How you are billed: By invoice. We do not take payment on this website. After work is agreed, we issue an invoice with a secure payment link.
Payment methods: Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and SEPA Direct Debit, processed by Stripe. SEPA bank transfer is available on request.
Currency: Euro (EUR).
Payment terms: Net 15 days from the invoice date unless the written proposal states otherwise.
On your statement: Card payments appear as SMART DEMAND on your statement.
Refunds: Set out in full in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Card details are entered on Stripe's own hosted payment pages and are never received or stored by Smart Demand. Stripe is a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor.

Smart Demand is a technology services company based in Lisbon, Portugal, registered as Smart Demand Unipessoal Lda. We build and run software for business clients: web platforms, cloud infrastructure, AI systems and internal tools.

We work with companies across the EU and internationally. Engagements run from short architecture reviews to multi-month build and support contracts. We are a business-to-business supplier and do not sell to consumers.
